It generates a low frequency radio signal that is transmitted in all directions. As your pet approaches the emitter dish, the spray receiver collar will pick up the low frequency signal. The collar will at first emit a warning beeping sound to let your animal know it has reached the limit. Should he continue on, he will then receive a brisk spray of citronella. Spray Barrier must be used in conjunction with our spray receiver collars and citronella refills.

Virtual Barrier is a system using spray technology, designed to keep pets away from certain areas or rooms in the home. Since it sets zones where an animal can or cannot access, it is beneficial to both pet and master. As such, Vitrual Barrier can be used to stop a pet from jumping on beds or couches, from entering the kitchen, climbing upstairs or from approaching the main door, etc. Place the transmitter in the area of your choice and adjust to the desired range. As your dog approaches the off-limit area, the receiver collar picks up the low frequency signal from the dish, then emits a warning sound letting your dog know that he has reached the boundary limit. If your pet crosses the set limit, the collar will start releasing a harmless spray intermittently until the pet leaves the restricted area. After a few attempts, your pet will associate the sound and spray with the off-limit area. He will become conditioned to back away once he hears the warning sound and will soon choose to avoid the area completely.
